Sunway University Hosts ASEAN Mobility Programme 2025

As the ASEAN Chair for 2025, Malaysia, through Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), has organized several initiatives to strengthen ties among ASEAN universities, academics, and student bodies. Among them is the ASEAN Mobility Programme 2025, which ran from 11-25 February.  The participants were hosted by 13 different universities, including Sunway University!

Sunway University continues its recent trend of success with its performance in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025. These rankings are designed to give a more detailed picture of how universities perform in specialised areas of study. The methodology includes factors like academic reputation, employer reputation, research influence (citations), teaching quality, and international diversity in staff and students. The rankings aim to help prospective students identify institutions that excel in their chosen field and provide institutions with valuable feedback on their strengths and areas for improvement.

Sunway University hosted the ASEAN Workshop on Sustainable Development 2025, organised by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN-SDSN) Asia headquarters. The event brought together senior Cabinet members, high-level ASEAN delegates, and leading academics to generate impactful policy recommendations, supporting Malaysia’s ASEAN chairmanship in 2025.
