Sunway University Press was honoured to be represented by Ms Carol Wong at the Majlis Berbuka Puasa with YB Fadhlina Sidek, Minister of Education Malaysia, followed by the Pralancaran Pesta Buku Antarabangsa Kuala Lumpur (PBAKL) 2026.
The evening brought together key partners, publishers, organisations, and stakeholders from across Malaysia’s book industry. Among those present were representatives from Kota Buku, MAPIM (Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia), Malaysian Book Publishers Association (MABOPA), MBKM (Majlis Buku Kebangsaan Malaysia), the Selangor State Library, as well as many colleagues and friends from the wider publishing community.
The gathering provided a valuable opportunity for industry members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration across Malaysia’s publishing ecosystem. It also highlighted the collective role of publishers, institutions, and industry partners in promoting knowledge, literacy, and a strong reading culture in Malaysia.
For Sunway University Press, the event marked another meaningful step towards strengthening our engagement with the Malaysian book industry.
