Sunway University Press was pleased to connect with prominent Chinese publishing delegates during the Kuala Lumpur International Book Fair (KLIBF) 2026, exploring new opportunities for collaboration and exchange.
Throughout the book fair, we held discussions with representatives and leaders from major Chinese publishing organisations on potential co-publishing, translation, and distribution initiatives. These conversations opened up exciting possibilities for bringing more diverse voices and ideas to readers across Malaysia, China, and beyond.
Several of the discussions took place during a productive roundtable co-hosted with the Malaysian Book Publishers Association (MABOPA), providing a valuable platform for publishers from both countries to exchange ideas and explore ways to strengthen bilateral publishing and literary connections.
We were encouraged by the shared vision and enthusiasm for future collaboration. Sunway University Press looks forward to developing these conversations into meaningful, long-term partnerships and creating new opportunities for knowledge and cultural exchange through publishing.
