Sunway University’s Celebration of Impact: The Name A Chair Initiative

Another edition of Sunway University’s Celebration of Impact was recently held to convey our heartfelt appreciation to the Sunway staff donors of the Name A Chair initiative: Prof. Sibrand Poppema, Dato’ Dr Lee Weng Keng, Prof. Weng Marc Lim, Prof. Mayco Santaella, and Ms Beng Lean Ng. The event was also graced by Professor Dato’ Elizabeth Lee (CEO of Sunway Education Group), Mr Evan Cheah, CFA, FCPA (Deputy President of Sunway Group), and Ms Lee Siok Ping (Chief of Student LIFE and Services).

The generous contributions from the Sunway team make it possible for Community Scholars from underprivileged backgrounds to pursue their studies on full scholarships at Sunway institutions. Sunway University scholar Rohini shared that she felt deeply inspired and motivated, knowing that Sunway staff genuinely care about students and willingly contribute to their well-being and success.
