Sunway University Welcomes Delegation from The Maldives National University

We were pleased to welcome a delegation from The Maldives National University to Sunway University today, led by Dr Aishath Shanoora, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, together with 50 student council leaders from the university.

During their visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore several facilities at the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences, including the:

  • Centre for Integrated Digital Anatomy & Clinical Skills
  • Sunway Psychology and Counselling Centre (SPCC)
  • Nursing Skills Lab
  • Human Performance Lab

The visit provided valuable exposure to Sunway University’s learning environment, facilities, and student experience, while also encouraging meaningful cross-cultural engagement between students from both institutions.

We were especially delighted that the delegation had the opportunity to mingle with our students during the Clubs and Societies Carnival and connect with the Maldivian student community on campus. Student communities formed around nationalities and cultures often play an important role in helping international students feel a sense of belonging, familiarity, and support while being far away from home. These connections create a welcoming environment where students can build friendships, celebrate shared traditions, and support one another throughout their study journey abroad.

Our sincere thanks to Dean, Prof. Raja Affendi Raja Ali and his wonderful  academic team from the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences for warmly hosting the delegation and sharing their expertise and facilities with the students.

Wishing all students from Maldives a fruitful, enjoyable, and meaningful visit to Malaysia.
