SHTM Students Learn Beyond the Finish Line
As part of the Introduction to Events and Project Ideation subject, 56 students from the Diploma in Events Management, Diploma in Hotel Management, and BSc (Hons) in Conventions and Events Management programmes gained valuable industry experience at the Toyota Start Your Impossible Outrun 2026.
In collaboration with our industry partner, Woots! Event, students were on duty at the marathon's finishing line, where they assisted with setting up the finish area and distributing finisher packs to participants.
Accompanied by Ms Wai Yee Ng and Ms Hairani M Nur, the experience gave students the opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real event environment while developing teamwork, communication, and operational skills.
