SHTM Students Graduate with WSET® Level 2 Professional Wine Certification
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), Sunway University, recently celebrated the graduation of 12 students who successfully completed the WSET® Level 2 Professional Wine Certification through the Centre for Hospitality Innovation and Leadership (CHIL).
The cohort comprised students from the BSc (Hons) in International Hospitality Management and BSc (Hons) in Culinary Management programmes, who undertook the certification as part of their third-year professional development journey. Special congratulations to Loh Yu Pey for achieving a perfect score of 100 marks in the final assessment.
The course was delivered by Professor Daniel Chong Ka Leong, Dean of SHTM and a WSET Level 3 certified trainer awarded by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), the world’s leading professional wine education body.
Through CHIL, SHTM continues to provide professional training, consultancy, and certification programmes that support both students and industry professionals through lifelong learning and industry-relevant skill development.
