HPC Team Continues Its Excellence with Another AWS Certification
Congratulations to our High-Performance Computing (HPC) Team — Chang Jit Kang and Teh Yee Heng — on achieving another milestones of recieving the AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate certification. This achievement represents a meaningful step in strengthening Sunway University’s internal capability to design, operate, and continuously optimise secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based HPC platforms that support our research, teaching, and innovation agenda. It reflects not only individual technical excellence, but also disciplined progress in building institutional readiness and operational maturity.
As we continue to advance our HPC strategy, this milestone contributes directly to our longer-term ambition of progressing towards AWS Select Tier Services Partner status and positioning Sunway University to become Malaysia’s first recognised HPC lighthouse. These efforts lay the foundation for enabling high-impact research, delivering complex computational workloads, driving operational excellence, and accelerating AI- and data-driven academic programmes.
