Congratulations Dr Tan Kim Han and Team on securing 2026 UAEU-SU Bilateral Research Funding Award

Congratulations to Dr Tan Kim Han from the Research Centre for Nano-Materials and Energy Technology (RCNMET), Sunway University, in collaboration with Assistant Professor Mohamed Qenawy, Principal Investigator at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), has successfully secured the 2026 UAEU-SU Bilateral Research Funding Award. 

The award-winning project, titled "Next-Generation Lead-Free Perovskite Solar Cells Using Recyclable MXene/CoS Interface Engineering", has received RM 249,175 for the Sunway University team. The research aims to develop eco-friendly solar cells using recyclable materials, contributing to SDG 7 and 12.

The Sunway team comprises Prof. Saidur Rahman and Dr Md Abu Zaed. Running for two years, the project aims for high-impact publications and patents.
