Bridging Can Tho University, Elite High School and Sunway Through Science

It was a pleasure hosting students from Can Tho University, Elite High School, Vietnam, for an engaging workshop at Sunway University on the 14th of January 2026.

A total of 21 students and 2 teachers took part in a hands-on learning experience that explored Antioxidants in Tea and the fascinating process of Cell Division through onion slide displays.

Held at the Genetics and Biochemistry Lab, the session sparked curiosity, meaningful questions, and genuine excitement for science in action. The workshop was led by Dr Hazel Yean Ru Ann, with the support of Student TA Md Noor Alam (PhD in Medical Sciences), and our dedicated lab executives, Mohd Abdul Halim, Dhaniah Mohamad, and Mohd Zarifi.

Moments like these remind us that learning knows no borders. It was truly inspiring to witness young minds from across the region connect with science in such a lively and meaningful way.
