A Thought-Provoking Session on Research Ethics at Sunway University
We were honoured to host Professor Roger Pickup, University Director of Ethics, Integrity and EDI at Lancaster University, for an excellent and insightful talk on Research Ethics. His presentation, "Good Research Starts with Ethics: What Every Researcher Should Know," offered invaluable perspectives on the importance of ethical governance in research at the Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences (FMLS).
Drawing from over a decade of leadership as Chair of the Faculty of Health and Medicine Ethics Committee, Professor Pickup shared practical insights into how ethical practices protect participants, researchers, and the broader reputation of academic research.
