Sunway University Tops Graduate Employability Index For Fourth Consecutive Year
Sunway University has once again been recognised as Malaysia’s leader in graduate employability, securing the top position in Talentbank’s National Graduate Employability Index for the fourth consecutive year. The University stands out for its excellence in disciplines such as Business, Accounting, Computer Science, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, Communication, and Psychology.
The Graduate Employability Index evaluates universities based on employer surveys, focusing on aspects such as preferred institutions for recruitment and the number of graduates hired. Sunway University’s consistent performance in this index highlights its strong connections with industry and its ability to produce job-ready graduates.
This achievement follows Sunway University’s recent recognition by the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025, where it was named the top non-government-linked private university in ASEAN. The University’s ranking has significantly improved from the 201–250 band to #141 in Asia, reinforcing its position among the region’s top universities.
Professor Sibrandes Poppema, President of Sunway University, expressed pride in these recognitions, stating that they reaffirm the University’s mission to provide education that is both relevant and industry-focused.
He also highlighted the Sunway Signature Collection project, which integrates career-focused content, live projects, and hands-on experiences to prepare students for successful careers.
