Sunway University Launches Success X-Factor Coaching Initiative

Sunway University has introduced the Success X-Factor Coaching Initiative, an industry-academia programme aimed at preparing students to become future-ready graduates through real-world mentorship, professional coaching and leadership exposure.

Our founder and chairman, Tan Sri Sir Dr Jeffrey Cheah KBE AO, endorsed the programme through a dedicated video message, calling for new approaches in higher education that empower students to thrive in an evolving global landscape.

A highlight of the launch event was a fireside session with deputy president Mr Evan Cheah, which explored the role mentors played in his professional and personal growth, how AI is shaping the future of work, the value of university–industry partnerships and why Sunway’s ecosystem provides a unique advantage to students.

The Success X-Factor Coaching Initiative introduces a three-tier coaching framework, embedding academic success support in Year 1, industry-led career coaching in Year 2 and executive-level mentoring with senior leaders and CEOs from almost every sector in Year 3.

By integrating academic, personal and professional growth, the initiative reinforces our commitment to nurturing confident, capable and future-ready graduates.
