SHTM Welcome Session for New International Students
This semester, we were thrilled to welcome a vibrant new cohort of international students from a diverse range of countries — including Indonesia, Japan, the UK, India, and many more — to the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management!
The session was filled with warm conversations and laughter as new friendships were formed over good food. Students had the opportunity to chat with academics and staff from the School as well as their peers from different countries, sharing their experiences at Sunway University and life in Malaysia.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr Joaquim Dias Soeiro (Deputy Dean – Internationalisation), Ms Koh Vivien, and Dr Daniel Chong Ka Leong for leading this meaningful initiative, as well as Dr Rita Lo, Dr Riley Pham, and Puan Suhaini Ibrahim. for joining and engaging with the students. Special thanks to the Athanor team for preparing the wonderful refreshments that made the evening even more enjoyable.
