Óbuda University Students Begin Intercultural Learning at Sunway

CELS welcomes students from our partner institution, Obuda University, who participate in a one-week intercultural learning project. Associate Professor Dr Tamas Kiss greeted the group along with Óbuda University leaders: President Professor Levente Kovacs, Vice President Professor Enikő Maior, and Tamas Novak, Head of Global Engagement.

Ten students from Óbuda University began their intercultural learning programme at Sunway University on Sunday (12 October). They were accompanied by Óbuda University President/Rector, Professor Levente Kovacs, who flew in from Saudi Arabia after attending the THE Education Summit, where he also met with our President, Professor Sibrand Poppema. Joining the delegation were Vice President/Rector, Professor Enikő Maior, and Tamas Novak, the President’s/Rector’s Envoy for Global Engagement.

They were also warmly welcomed by Katalin Böszörményi-Nagy, Chargé d’Affaires of the Hungarian Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

The morning activities included a campus tour and a mind-mapping session on Malaysia and Malaysian culture, followed by an informal Q&A session.
