Nanjing University School of Economics Visits Sunway University
Sunway University was honoured to welcome a delegation from the School of Economics, Nanjing University, to the Most Happening Campus for an engagement session with the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute (ASLI).
The session commenced with opening remarks by Board Director of ASLI, Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, who has previously served in various ministerial capacities, including as Minister of International Trade and Industry, Minister of Higher Education, and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Economy). This was followed by an introduction to ASLI delivered by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr Danial Rahman.
Representing Sunway University and Sunway Education were:
- Professor Dato' Dr Elizabeth Lee, CEO of Sunway Education
- Professor Lim Weng Marc, Dean of Sunway Business School
- Dr Stella Ong Kim Yoke, Deputy Dean (Employability & Alumni), Sunway University
The Nanjing University delegation was led by:
- Professor Zheng Jianghuai, Dean of the School of Economics and Head of Delegation
- Associate Professor Jiang Wei, School of Digital Economy and Management
- Dr Tok Dickson, Business School
- Mr Tan Kay Xiang, PhD Candidate, Nanjing University and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia
Discussions during the session centred on potential avenues for collaboration, with proposals including student mobility programmes, joint research initiatives, and international conferences.
The delegation also included 12 undergraduate students from Nanjing University, who were given a guided tour of Sunway University’s campus to experience its vibrant learning environment and world-class facilities.
Sunway University looks forward to deepening its relationship with Nanjing University in advancing regional cooperation and strengthening ASEAN ties.
