MoA Signing Ceremony Between Sunway University and National Yunlin University of Technology (YunTech) on Autonomous Oil Palm Harvesting Robot Project

On 29 May 2025, a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony between Sunway University and National Yunlin University of Technology (YunTech) titled “Autonomous Oil Palm Harvesting Robot” was held at Sunway University. The MoA was signed by Professor Sibrandes Poppema, President of Sunway University, and Professor Chuan-Yu Chang, President of YunTech. Initiated by Research Centre For Human-Machine Collaboration (HUMAC) of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET), Sunway University, the principle investigators are Dr Tang Tiong Yew (HUMAC) and Professor Chian-Cheng Ho (Chair of Industrial Technology Program) will focus on international R&D on the autonomous oil palm harvesting robot technologies.
