Meet PAIGE: The Smart Library Robot Keeping Our Shelves in Order

Introducing PAIGE, our library’s newest team member, the Library Robot, who’s here to keep our shelves in perfect order.

With the ability to scan over 11,200 books per hour, PAIGE uses advanced RFID detection and SLAM-based navigation to ensure every book is right where it belongs — boosting efficiency at the Tun Hussein Onn Sunway Library and allowing our librarians to focus on delivering more personalised services to users.

Proudly developed and built in Malaysia by the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Sunway University, this student-led project, funded by Sunway Education, showcases the power of interdisciplinary collaboration and provides students with valuable hands-on experience in real-world human–machine teamwork within a library setting.
