The Last Women Standing: A Special Sharing Session
Sunway Business School recently hosted a special sharing session titled “The Last Women Standing: How to Navigate, (Not) Panic, and Thrive” as part of the MGT1054 Principles of Management class on 22 October 2025.
The engaging session featured four accomplished panelists — Yee Wen Jie (Dawn), Khoo Chen Yee, Tai Xi Wen (Simone), and Yap Zi Toong (Mavis) — who shared their personal experiences and practical strategies for overcoming team challenges, leading effectively, and maintaining composure in demanding situations.
Drawing from their diverse roles as student leaders, competition participants, and high achievers, the panellists inspired their juniors to approach group dynamics with confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
The session was moderated by Dr Nampuna Dolok Gultom, Competition Coordinator and Senior Lecturer from the Department of Accounting, Finance, and Economics, who guided an insightful discussion that encouraged reflection and open dialogue among attendees.
Through candid stories and valuable takeaways, the session successfully empowered students to navigate teamwork challenges and embrace leadership opportunities with clarity and confidence.
