iNET Career Mentoring Event
The Faculty of Medical and Life Sciences (FMLS) successfully hosted the iNET Career Mentoring Event on 24th May 2025, offering students an invaluable opportunity to gain real-world insights into their future professions. The event welcomed 21 distinguished mentors, 14 of whom are proud alumni of FMLS, Sunway University, and benefited 54 participating students from the School of Nursing (SNUR), School of Psychology (SPSY), and Department of Biomedical Sciences (DBS).
Held in an engaging one-on-one or group format, each mentor participated in four 20-minute mentoring sessions, sharing their professional journeys, personal insights, and practical advice. These discussions provided students with exposure to a variety of psychology-related and healthcare career pathways, enhancing their understanding of workforce expectations and professional dynamics.
This event proved to be a meaningful platform where students could explore the realities of the healthcare and life sciences industries, appreciate the importance of mental health advocacy, and recognize the diverse and impactful roles professionals play in shaping society.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all mentors for their time, wisdom, and support in helping to prepare the next generation of healthcare and life sciences professionals. Your stories made a difference!
