ECRN Workshop Recap: Connecting the Dots – Enhancing Your Return on Value (ROV)
On 11 March 2025, the Early Career Researcher Network (ECRN) at Sunway University hosted an engaging and thought-provoking workshop titled Connecting the Dots: Enhancing Your Return on Value (ROV) with Prof. Mahendhiran Nair, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research & Sustainability) at Sunway University.
With around 50 early career researchers in attendance, the session provided valuable insights into how Teaching & Learning, Research, Internal Engagement, and External Engagement are deeply interconnected. Prof. Mahendhiran emphasized that success in one area can positively impact others, creating a more holistic and fulfilling academic career.
Participants left the session feeling inspired and motivated to take the next step in their academic journey. Prof. Mahendhiran’s personal experiences and practical strategies resonated with attendees, offering them a clearer perspective on navigating the complexities of academia.
