Dr Alan Tan Sang Loon Invited as Principal Investigator for Structural Biology Workshop in Bangkok

Dr Alan Tan Sang Loon was invited as a Principal Investigator to participate in a strategic workshop held at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) in Bangkok, Thailand, from 14th –15th February 2025. The workshop focused on the development of a conceptual course in macromolecular crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM), aiming to strengthen regional capabilities in structural biology.

This initiative gathered researchers across Southeast Asia to strategize on ways to optimize support for participating laboratories in structure determination and curriculum development. The goal: to nurture a thriving and collaborative structural biology community within the region.
