"Are You Ready to Step Up and Lead?" with Daryl Ooi

Sunway Business School was pleased to welcome Mr Daryl Ooi, General Manager of Group Human Resources at Hartalega, as a guest speaker for our full-time MHRM class on 28 July 2025.

His leadership talk titled “Are You Ready to Step Up and Lead?” offered valuable insights into the evolving role of HR leaders from managing diverse stakeholders to developing essential leadership skills for effective people management.

This session was organized by Dr Kavitha Sathasivam, lecturer for the Developing Skills for Business Leadership module, and attended by our vibrant cohort of full-time MHRM students.

The group comprises individuals from a wide range of countries including Brunei, Indonesia, Nepal, India, Maldives, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Uganda, China, and Malaysia.

The session was very well received, with students appreciating the opportunity to learn directly from an industry leader.
