Speaker Profile
Dr Daan P. Tavenier focuses on Corporate Finance and M&A in SMEs. His work and teaching cover valuation, negotiation dynamics, and deal structuring in small and medium-sized enterprise transactions.
In this session, he will emphasise the cultural and relational aspects of negotiating SME deals, including key person dependency, retention considerations, and how intercultural contexts can increase complexity during negotiations and post-deal integration.
This event marks the culmination of a research collaboration between MBA students from the Netherlands and Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) students at Sunway University. It will also be graced by our President, Prof. Sibrandes Poppema. The programme will include the guest lecture, followed by an award ceremony for participating students from Sunway University and the University of Groningen.
